Granite tops were fitted in our kitchen. Discussed and agreed what we wanted and when. We were asked to have all fitments and accessories (hob, sink, power docks) on site.
Issues:1.Hob installed uneven. Corrected subsequently2.White silicon agreed but clear silicon was used.
3.All the gaps were not filled with silicon.4. Power docks needed to be installed on the granite but drilled holes so big that the power dock fell through the granite. Now we have 3 square blocks on the counter to block the large hole and cater for the 3 power docks. Only returned a month later to install the blocks.
5.Granites joins are uneven and edges coarse (even cut my finger on the edge)
6.Paid for cut outs to be polished. 4 months since installation still have not received the cut outs. Apparently had the cut outs in the van on the 7 December 2012 but forgot to offload. But insists he has a good memory.
7.Sink installed with a chip on the granite.
We are dealing directly with the owner. Once fully paid, he is "bussy back to back". With regard to the cut outs they will be delivered "as soon as a bakkie is heading ur direction", this was on tthe 9th Jan 2013.
