We won NuPower system via Willard battery competition The collector and 200L geyser installed on roof (April 2012). I had steep solar heating learning curve. Apparently so did NuPower! Galvanized stand bent and geyser sagged so feet rest on edge of roof tiles. Idea to resolve conceived with NuPower but never implemented. System mounted to weak roof brandering. NuPower themselves expressed concern at mounting. Raised multiple times over several months to no avail. When in stagnation - geyser at 70C and collector still heating - steam does not escape as it should via air vent. I bought an extra air vent. Both were installed skew. Requested repair to no avail (12 Nov). Manufacturer says they must be plumb. I suggested piping mods to prevent steam getting into geyser and damaging PEX lining. NuPower's first piping did not have air vents at highest point of the circuit. Fatal oversight. Dismal reply to emails except that they will discuss and get back to me. Pleas to CEO Mr Moroney met with silence. NuPower only ever came out to fix something they did wrong and now, with winning line in sight, they stop? I would have been their most avid supporter! Did not want to report this!
