We booked the Carpentry Shoppe to renovate our kitchen, hang 4 doors and install skirtings. This was done in response to their quick response to meet on site, deliver a quote and to offer a date for installation. This is where the problems started. We paid the required deposit and scheduled the dates for installation. Three dates in all, 1st to hang doors and 2 more dates to install kitchen and skirtings. We scheduled for 13 December to hang the doors, we had to change the date and attempted to contact them a week in advance, we tried contacting themtwice more and finally got through to Sharon on the 12th who said " no proble, we will send 3 teams to do everything in one day on the 18th! " By 10am on 18th when nobody arrived on site we started phoning and got excuse after excuse. They scrambled to get a carpenter on site who apparently would hang 4 doors and install the skirtings! What we did not know was that this particular carpenter Pieter was under pressure from them to get to the next site in Pretoria (from Sandton) to complete another job! you can imagine the pressure and haste, the rubbish installation that this man attempted. He couldn't complete if he tried...
