Today I returned three unused cans of spray paint to Builders Warehouse, along with a couple of minor items. Now we all know it's easy for unscrupulous customers to use a small amount of this paint and return it for a full refund, so I was somewhat impressed that the cans were taken back with no questions asked. Good to see that BW does give its customers the benefit of the doubt and trusts in their honesty - in this matter at any rate. Now if only they'd stop those disgracefully intrusive searches of customers on the way out of their shops I'd be even more impressed. SURELY there's no call for bags to be opened and their contents groped and pored over? Heaven knows what overseas visitors must think about South Africans when they see this violation of customer privacy...
