Bobby Ragavan approached me in September begging me to borrow him money as he desperately needed to pay his electricity bills. He said he would reimburse me within a few days. I told him that out of principal I will not lend him the money but feeling sorry for him and his family I told him I will give him some work.
I asked him to build two wooden cabinets for me, which I actually did not need. He came and took measurements and showed me materials and pamphlets, very professionally. He emailed me the quotation for R5000 and asked for a R3000 deposit as he needed to buy the materials. On September the 13th I deposited the R3000 into a bank account owned by his son Pascal Ragavan as this was the account provided on the quote.
After numerous phone calls and messages all I kept getting was excuses. Eventually he stopped taking my calls and I would have to call him off of a private number. Again all I got was more excuses.
In December, after having to wait over three months I sent him a message explaining that I will open up a case of under false pretences and hand this over to my attorneys. To this he replied and told me to "get ed". The matter is now with my attorneys
