Kurt & Samantha Johnson from SM gates & fencing offered their services to supply and fit balustrades in my home which they said would take MAXIMUM 10 days. I paid 50% deposit on the 15th September. On the 22nd September, Kurt requested a further 25% for the railing to be 'powder coated'. I gave him this as well. His brand new blue Toyota Avanza made me feel that he would not be the shady kind. After 2 months of fighting and swearing, they install the most poorly constructed balustrade frame which was only painted and not powder coated as agreed and paid for. Now, Almost 4 months from payment, I STILL do not have my balustrades completed with steel cabling. All I have heard is after and promise after promise. It became sickening the way Kurt would blatantly and get upset with me for demanding the work to get done. He would avoid calls most of the time, and if I got through, he would make up sad stories. At one point he admitted he spent my money on another job and needed to complete more work to have money for my balustrades. They continue to advertise online. I would definitely advise everyone to be careful of Kurt & Samantha Johnson from SM gates & gates and fencing.
