I installed a Geyserwise Max with my new solar geyser in 2010. Within 6 months It displayed various errors, which technicians attended to ranging from dry joint issues, faulty battery/pv panel, to incorrectly being wired in the first place. Now 3 years on I have been advised to bypass the unit because its thermostat is not functioning. The cost of the unit plus repairs probably negates almost any saving that could have been realised in electricity usage.
