Along with others, we're victims of this! Paid R 12000 deposit upfront. We were slightly lucky in that Jan did purchase certain material but not all of it were given to us at the time he came to "install" the built in cupboards. This work was about 20% of the whole project but he had taken 80% of the money already. He made some lame excuse that the supplier was out of stock for the sliding mechanisms and boards needed to be cut at a specialist and left our premises. After having made several excuses over the course of 1 month, we received a letter from him saying he has applied for sequestration. When i called his debt counsellor, she told me we should just be glad we can get something back (the boards we had to deliver to Krugersdorp for him to cut). We havent laid a charge against him yet but we are thinking to... i know its probably impossible to get our money back but i would definitely love to see them behind bars for their shameful act! I have only been made aware recently that they operate under many company names. They quote really low rates, but their job is below mediocre! do not use them!!
