No point in pre-ordering from BT Games

I placed a pre-order with BT Games Eastrand Mall for an item that I found 2 days later to be already available on another local provider's website.
I found out that not only will I get my product later than what I possibly could have, should I have found out about the availability on the other provider's site earlier, but now my so called "pre-order" will also be delayed.
BT Games blame this on their supplier. Why not find a new supplier? Why take pre-orders if you can not deliver on time? After all, a pre-order is there for surety of delivery of product on time (if not earlier), lowered price (which I found to only be a mere R5 less than this other provider) and additional benefits such as add ons.
I have over R6000.00 worth of "pre-orders" with BT Games that I will now be cancelling and buying from another company that can deliver on time.
