Twice in the last couple of weeks our water has been cut off in Heuwelsig and the surrounding so-called "affluent" areas. A few weeks ago it was for FIVE days and this week we are now in our 3rd day without water. Yes I know all about the pipes that are damaged etc, but what I want to complain about is the fact that we in Heuwelsig are charged the highest municipal rates for our water, sanitation etc and NEVER get discounted when the municipality stuffs up. We just have to keep paying for services UNRENDERED. We are also the one suburb where are refuse is left on the pavements for 2 - 3 DAYS sometimes before it is fetched, yet we have to pay unbelievably high costs... FOR WHAT?? We don't get the service or the decency of anyone showing any action on our part. We are SICK of this. Stop trying to fix the problems on the surface Manguang Municipality and start fixing your problems at their ROOT cause. Soon we will just stop paying - hows that!!
