Purchased a HP Office jet 8500A Plus on the 8th March 2012. The printer was used for home usage so niot even heavy office duty. The printer stopped working 6 weeks ago and returned to Makro to sent it to HP. Heard nothing from HP for 5 weeks only to be told it will cost more than double the purchase price to repair!
Watch out if you buy HP, it seems the equipment is sub-standard and aftersale lacking!
To add to the insult, my original printer broke after one week, same model and was replaced. That printer covered by the three year guarantee. This was neverer transfered to the replacement printer! Hey- HP have lost me and my word of mouth!
Makro did state to me HP service have declined and very poor!
