Hello Peter is a very valuable support - and I have used it for years to check the credibility of a company. Recently, I have been shopping for car insurance quotes. After receiving the quote, I have often been asked by the insurance company to write a positive report on Hello Peter. I refuse, since this is simply a sales call and not a reflection of the company's actual delivery.
I have found that the Hello Peter sites of these insurance companies are littered with positive "spam" raving about their low insurance quotes. This flood of compliments gives a "positive" impression and shades out the complaints - about actual delivery and settlement of claims.
Why does Hello Peter allow companies to spam the site in this way? It is virtually impossible to gauge these companies' actual performance now, and renders the Hello Peter service as a credibility check meaningless.
