End of November 2012, our Alfa Romeo 159 went for a routine service. 8 days - no contact, told to collect the car the next day. On collection, we were informed that the dealership had undergone a change of Dealer Principle & workshop manager. On route home (7.5km) from the dealership, the car overheated with all electronics showing severe overheating. On inspection, the radiator cap had not been down but left on top of the bottle. When the vehicle was returned to the dealership, they claimed the waterpump had failed, causing the car to overheat. We gave the go ahead to replace the water pump. 7 days later the car was ready. The "Best Fiat workshop Manager in the country" had checked the running of the car himself. The car broke down the following week on route to Natal. Engine Wrecked. CMH Westrand refused responsibility for this fiasco. We have taken the "failed" water pump to 3 independant auto engineering companies, each agreeing that the pump is NOT FAULTY. CMH says that they did not test it correctly but they build race cars!!! The "Best Fiat Workshop Manager in the Country" has shown that he is NOT to be trusted with your vehicle. Stay away from CMH WEST RAND.
