I bought a Pajero short wheel base in May 2010. Comes with a 3 year warranty. As I moved to a farm in Ladismith in the Cape I found it extremely difficult to get the vehicle serviced every 10, 000kms. I was made aware at the time of purchasing my vehicle that if the vehicle was not serviced regularly there was a chance that I would loose my warranty. I was never informed however that if the car was overdue for a service - or because it had not had all the services done that I would have to pay for a service. On having reached 100, 000kms I took my Pajero in to Maritime Motors and without calling me to let me know that I would be charged for the service - they just carried on, only to arrive to collect my vehicle and be given an invoice. when I asked why I needed to pay - I was told that 'they will not pay for it'! So annoying - if it was a warrenty claim, maybe, but a service - no, absolutely not. All services were built into the cost of the car at time of purchase, if the car does not come in for some of those services - that's a bonus to Mitsubishi. What a rip off!!!
