I just want to thank Selwyn and his crew for the help they gave me this morning on the way to work.
The retainer bolt for the exhaust on my scooter snapped going down Jan Smuts Avenue in Hyde Park. As it is the only bolt holding the exhaust on I needed to get it seen to. I spotted the Motorcycles for Africa sign and pulled in.
I walked in to Selwyn's office, told him the story and he referred me to a very friendly guy, Thys. Thys took one look at the problem and said that they won't be able to drill out the bolt as it was high tensile steel. He and one of his mechanics looked at the possibilities and suggested that they build a secondary mounting that will help out until I can get the high tensile bolt piece out.
While I was enjoying a breakfast at the KFC above, they fashioned a fix for my problem and I was out of there in less than 30 minutes!
The job looks professional and it works even better!
