On 20/02/2013 I purchased a left side shaft for my Alfa GT 1.9JTD from John Williams Motors Bloemfontein. Two days later I collected the part and found it to be the right part number on the package but the wrong part inside. Theuns the salesman confirmed that it was a fault made by the warehouse or factory in packaging. He immediately informed the warehouse of the problem and they undertook to order the correct part from Italy for delivery within 7 days. Two weeks passed and I was informed the same wrong part was again received from Italy. Appearantly no one at the warehouse in Joburg took the time to inform the factory of the mistake. The same mistake happened for a third time. On 25/03/2013 I called Fiat customer service for intervention and assistence. A day later Desre responded and informed me that the matter was taken up with the parts division and I can expect to hopefully get the right part by 12/04/13 if I am lucky. I require my vehicle as a condition of my employment and have been without same for a month and two weeks. I have had to take leave from work as I am unable to attend to my commitments without a car. Alternative transport unsuccessful in rural areas.
