Peugeot South Africa
BAD QUALITY CLUCTH

I purchased my new peugeot 2011 207 popart in Oct/Nov 2011. The vehicle's mileage is 19900km. The last service was at 10000km. I was informed today upon having taken the vehicle in to Peugeot Umhlanga (PU) that the clutch needs to be repalced and that they need to strip the gear box to assess if the vehicle is under warranty. At NO time was I informed that there is ANY cost associated with the stripping of the vehicle in order to asess whether the vehicle is under warranty.

I was later called and informed and informed that as the clutch is worn, it is not covered by the warranty and that I will need to pay R9000 for the replacement, I was further advised should they not proceed with the repair I would need to pay the labour cost of stripping the vehicle in the amount of R2600.

I am disgusted with the poor quality of the brand. I have owned many vehicles, but I have never in my life had to replace a clutch at 19900. I also have a 3008 SUV at 5000km and afraid of the future problems with this vehicle.

I trust someone will give this matter their urgent attention and contact me urgently as my vehicle is currently laying stripped at Peugoet Umhlanga.!!!
