My 2011 Honda Ballade was in a minor collision with debris on the highway between Mossel Bay and George at which point the airbags also deployed. The car has been at the Panel Beater since September 2012. Never ending promises and changing ETA's in respect of the part arrival never materialised. Also the wrong parts were delivered - delaying the process even more. The car should be ready soon, but the bottom line is 6 months waiting for spares is not acceptable. Their customer service department also agree. The stories from the customer service department do not add up for the reasons for the delays - other car companies can import the same spares within 2 weeks.
Importing vehicles without supporting the same without adequate spares is also not acceptable.
Honda did arrange for a courtesy car, but I had to insure this at R 1400 a month for 3 months. The vehicle was only provided after complaining on their Facebook page.
Honda misleads their customers and as such I can never recommend this brand to anyone. Don't be fooled by their motto "Power of Dreams" nor their claims on Facebook that they carry millions of Rands worth of spares to ensure you are back on the road speedily!
