Good day, during December 2011 we bought a 2006 Jeep Cherokee for R159, 000.00 Obviously the vehicle was financed etc. This year we decided that we need a newer model and decided to shop around for a Saharah. To our disappointment the dealership who wanted to trade in our vehicle offered us R70, 000.00 for our vehicle. This is nearly a R100, 000.00 loss. Excluding any repayments for the year. On enquiry we received feedback that we took extras on the vehicle which also escalated the price.
My enquiry is how can a 2006 vehicle loose so much value in one year. Besides this, A person expects to by a vehicle from a recognised dealership and expect good ethics. Well again to my disappointment I personally would appreciate a better response from Mccarthy. Why does a consumer have to sit with such a huge loss over a year. Somewhere soembody is maiing a huge profit out of us and we need to understand how this whole deal was constructed.
Not even ABSA who financed the vehicle gave us feedback yet.
Very sad, but true.
