I had a run in with InspectaCar in Menlyn Pretoria with regards to a Land Rover Discovery I purchased from them. The case involved a replacement gearbox within two months of purchase and many other issues that were reported within days of the purchase. (Which I had to pay 14k for and the insurer the other portion)
The case was handed over to the MIOSA in Feb 2011 and to date has still not being resolved.
The mail enquiries are never answered and the phone just rings and rings and rings and rings...
It has now been 2 years and 1 month since my complaint was laid. In the mean time the dealership has closed its doors and the chances of tracing the owner is minimal. I personally hold the MIOSA responsable if the claim is not settled.
