Bad service at Shell garage - Honeydew

My wife went to the garage in the evening of Saturday 10/03/2013 to purchase items. She stopped outside the garage and one of the petrol attendants assisted her by going into the shop to purchase cigarettes. The change she received included a hundred rand note and she gave the attendant the smaller change which he complained was not enough.

The next day she went to put in petrol and use the same R100.00 note that she was given the night before. The petrol assistance was told that the garage could and would not accept the note as it had a tear in the corner of the note and it had been fastened with selotape. My wife explained the above to the petrol attendant, McLean, then to the cashier Robert. The cashier would still not accept the note and my wife offered to take the note to another shop to swop it. My wife was then told that she is not allowed to leave the petrol station as they cannot trust her. She offered to leave her ID book and even her rings there but they still said that she is not trust worthy. The cashier then said he will do her a FAVOUR by swapping his own R100.00 note so that it can be accepted in through the scanner.
