I've recently had the worst customer experience through Avis Car Hire. Two weeks ago, I picked up a car which would prove to be a huge mistake that led to irreplaceable financial loss as well as personal trauma. Prior to my vehicle collection date I had specifically asked for a VW Polo thinking it would be the most secure car of their "B" fleet vehicles if that's what it's called. However upon my arrival I was told that this request was not met for what seemed to me as pathetic reasoning. Worse, when I went to collect the vehicle that I was allocated (Hyundai i20), I saw a clean VW Polo ready to be driven. The disappointment had begun and quickly went from bad to worse. Against my better judgement and desperate for a means to travel I was forced with no option to take the Hyundai i20.
