I am writing because I bought Cooper tires that from Tiger Wheels White River on Saturday (12/03/2022).
I took the Coopers because the BF Goodrich tyres that I ordered two days before didn’t arrived due to the fact that had been truck had been hijacked that morning.
According to the manager, the tyres had been ordered a month before, for another customer that didn’t return to pick them up and normally they should be a year old maximum, but for my surprise I discovered that the tyres are from 2018.
It scares me the fact that they are so old and I am afraid that they had been just sitting in storage for all this time and as he said after 4-5 years, tyres become rubber only.
I am not too happy with this, specially because they are not cheap tyres and I would like to know what are the procedures to follow? Will they replace for something more recent?
