I was just at the filling station in seapoint to purchase cooldrink and R250 airtime. Cooldrink was out of stock. So attemped to purchase only the airtime. The staff informed me that I cannot purchase airtime with a card. They would only process the card if I purchased something else as well. This sounds like outright extortion to get me to purchase other items! I called for the manager, and she verified this story!
Please explain how and where Engen feels they have the right to extort consumers into buying other goods along with airtime. And since when is airtime not allowed to be purchased with a card?? I think this will need to be escalated to the NCC... This payment process is ridiculous!!
