I've had the most displeasure in purchasing a NEW CLA 220 from the Bryanston dealership. I placed a pre-order from that branch around June 2013 - prior to it's launch date in SA - to take delivery in December.
In October when the vehicle was launched, I was told that "my" vehicle has been delivered to the dealership but it was not the one I spec'ed. This was followed up with the comment by (George Piers) if I do not take this vehicle I would not get one.
I told the sales person to hand it over to the Sales Manager (Barrett Smith). Barrett promised to order a vehicle for me and take delivery for 18th January 2014. I've escalated this "order" as I did not receive an order number from Barrett for 2 months. After numerous phone calls and emails. He finally sent an "order number"
Today I decided to follow up with the dealership to confirm that the vehicle will be arriving on the 18th only to find out Barrett no longer works there and the "order number" he supposedly gave me is NOT on their system.
I have been forced to purchase a vehicle that I did not spec, to, emails ignored, phone calls ignored by both the sales person and sales manager
