The service at the East Rand Mahindra center was very disappointing. We usually use East Rand Mahindra to service our two Mahindra's of our fleet of about 30 vehicles. The Mahindra's were experimental purchases as we needed big vehicles to cover large distances in very rough terrain as we respond to animal emergencies and routine inspections across the country as well as across the border. When I called this morning the switchboard lady simply stated: 'Our garage is closed and all our technicians are on leave, sorry." She provided no alternative or had no sympathy or empathy for my situation. she simply replied: "What do you expect me to do, we are closed.". If this is the type of service, after sales, we will not consider Mahindra vehicles as part of our fleet in the future.
