I bought a bakkie from Nissan northcliff two weeks ago, i checked the tyres and the tread seemed fine. i then took the bakkie to TWT on monday for balancing and was informed that all four tyres had to be replaced as the tire life had expired. i could not believe that warren did not inform me of this and went for a second opinion at another tyre dealership where they told me the same thing and also informed that the tyres could cause a severe accident in case of a blowout. this after the bakkie passed a roadworthy test and safety check at Nissan. what does this mean? either nissan uses unethical business practises putting their clients lives in danger or their staff are not competent and give incorrect advice. I now had to spend R 10100 on five new tyres and shock absorbers as this was also faulty. at the very least I want a written apology letter from Nissan and a refund on the money i had to spend on the tyres. we are driving to cape town tomorrow had they tyres not been replaced we would have been another statistic on South Africa's roads. well done!!
