Peugeot South Africa
Dealership service and not applying CPA

We purchased a 2008 Mazda CX-7 on the 24 October - within 3 days we realised there were problems with the vehicle. The dealership agreed to fix everything. They could not take the car for 12 days - On the 4th November the car was given to dealership. The main issues was over fuelling and white smoke billowing out the back. For a week there was constant feedback that Mazda was repairing the vehicle. We discovered Peugeot Northcliff had not authorised the repairs. The vehicle sat at Mazda for a week. Each time we contacted Peugeot we were told the vehicle was being repaired and we would get it back in the next few days. After 5 weeks and 4 days we were informed the car was fixed. It was delivered in a disgusting state. I requested our warranty specialists test the car. The engine light came on and it sounded like a diesel when you rev-ed the car there was a rattle in the engine. I requested the deal be cancelled. At this stage 4 people had assessed the car and 3 people had worked on it. The dealership will not reverse the deal and after 8 weeks we still don't have a vehicle. We have now purchased another vehicle. In terms of s56 of CPA Act our rights are not being attended to!
