I recently hired a car for a few days from Avis. On the morning that I was due to return the vehicle to Avis, Milnerton branch, my wife was in the front passenger seat with her handbag on the floor of the car. Her bag was rather full on this occasion and fell over spilling the contents onto the floor of the car. Unknown to her, her cell phone fell out and went under the front seat. We returned the car to Avis and only later that evening realised that her phone was missing. Tracing her steps back through the day she remembered last seeing the phone in her bag, in the hired car. We contacted Avis the following morning and unfortunately the car had already gone out to another customer. Candice of Avis said she would contact the customer who had the car and ask them to check under the seat for the phone. I was very surprised when Avis phoned me today to say that they had found the phone and it was waiting to be collected from their office!
I would like to thank Avis, the staff of the Milnerton branch and their customer who had the car after me for their honesty and going out of their way to find my wife's phone. Thank you! Avis really does try harder!
