I took my car in for a service where they were going to change my brakes as well. There was a mishap and and my custom sprayed mag rims were chipped when the guys removed the rims to check the brakes. When I collected the car I noticed this had happened and called them to report it. They asked me to come through so they can assess the damage which I did, they immediately accepted responsibility and apologised. I was asked to arrange a quote so they could sort it out which I did. I received my mags today that was done to my satisfaction.

Mistakes do happen in these situations and most companies will pull the "Vehicles left at owner's risk" card. I am happy to say it didn't seem for a minute that this would be the case.
