I took my car in for a simple minor service and to have a slight oil leak looked at. I was informed that the reason my car is leaking is because there was a seal that wasn't properly placed or not placed at all in the camshaft/cambelt area (mind you these are the same people who did an overhaul on my engine just over a year ago). So I part with R4674.74 to do the minor service and repair the leak.
Only to find that the car was now leaking worse, so very annoyingly I took my car back and they manage to fix the leak on the second attempt, this was on the 29th of October. Everything was fine up unitl this past Sunday (10 November) when a terrible screeching noise started from the engine area. Monday afternoon came, the sound was now so bad it couldn't be ignored anymore, upon further investigation I discovered that one of the pulleys running the fan belt was eating into an engine mounting and had made quite some progress. A local guy had a look at it and discovered that a vital and big engine mounting bolt had not been replaced and thus the engine mounting was moving around and doing all sorts of damage. I'm at my wits end with these people and do not know what should be done!
