My diesel ix35 was taken n for its 45000km service on 9/1/13 2 Hyundai Vereeniging. I INSISTED 2 the service advisor Joey Odendaal that my brakes were making a noise and needed changing immediately. After the service I was told that the technician Lucky only found some dust on the brakes & cleaned it up. Joey advised that the brakes were perfectly fine & that I wud have no problems. Upon driving my car I immediately noticed that the brakes were still makng the same noise & concluded that indeed nothing was done to fix the problem. I called n very upset & indicated that my brakes were still noisy & needed changing (this was becoming quite annoying, tiresome, inconvenient!!). I took my ix35 back n on 29/1/13 & conveniently this time my brakes were replaced!!! How strange is that!! The service technician Douglas indicated that he changed the brakes becos it was requested by the customer! I was flabergasted by his response as I know that authorization must be obtained & changing the brakes cannot merely be done at the customers request!! Obviously the brakes were perished & needed changing. I am utterly disappointed at the low level of competency!!! We put our faith and trust in these people!!!
