I took in a Kia Picanto to get a Clutch replaced at Kia The Glen. We received the car and upon paying we were told that they found an oil leak in the gear box. The woman (Chantal) said the car would have to be booked in again and it would cost another R3000 of labour to replace the seal which cost R100.

Chantal said that its standard procedure for them not inform clients when they find additional faults.

The car is also missing an Aerial and hasn't been washed.

We asked to speak to a mechanic who works at Kia (The Glen), he was surprised that we were not inform about this leakage while the car was being serviced and that they expected us to pay a further R3 000 for labor just to replace the seal.

He also said that the seal could have been disturbed by them while they were fixing the clutch.

We tried escalating the matter and Chantal claims that none of her superiors are available.
