General Motors South Africa
Poor After Sale Service

I purchased a new Chevrolet 1.4 from Williams Hunt Bellville August 2013. This is the second new LDV purchased from the same franchise cash in just over two years. The model I purchased had no central locking and was available at a extra cost. I was under the impression that the aftermarket system will be a genuine part and be installed by the GM workshop. The installation was outsourced and I had problems with the central locking since day one. I called the salesman and the individuals who installed the system came to repair and adjust the central locking three days later. I noticed the central locking is not reliable and locks only one door sometimes. I called the salesman on Monday 21 October 2013 and ask him to attend to the problem urgently. He said to me he will do so. Five days later 4000 Km on the vehicle, nobody has contacted me to resolve the issue. I assume this is what you get when purchasing a R135 000 GM product. My other personal vehicles is a lot more expensive, and I receive excellent after sales service from the other two manufacturers.
