I went to AutoWorld Car Dealership in Parow and saw a car for my brother. We decided to apply for a loan and buy the car, this was June 2013. They promised delivery of car in time for his 21st birthday. The bank paid the loan money directly into their account. Unfortunately there was mechanical faults on the car which I was not made aware of but once I realised this I asked them to fix it, this delayed the delivery with a few days. However when they said the car is ready none of the mechanical faults was fixed properly. I dont know how the car passed at the road worthy centre but they, AutoWorld, said it did. I cancelled the contract as it was still in my legal right to do so yet up until today, 4months later, AutoWorld, Joe, finance guy nor the manager or owner has returned my loan money. They are never available to speak and never return calls. They are playing a dodging game where they try and avoid me and my lawyer at all costs. I am taking this further, with my lawyer, but would like to warn consumers against this dealership. If they cant be fair and respect my consumer rights within legal parameters, I dont think the cars they sell or the way they do business can be trusted.
