Late during 2011 we purchased a Volvo S80 luxury vehicle from a local Gauteng Volvo Dealership. Recently, just over 2 years later and around 40 000 km later, we approached multiple Volvo dealerships to dispose of this vehicle and much to our surprise, none of them were willing to buy it back. And this unrelated to condition or faults! "Sir it's immaculate but we wont buy it"... Is that a lack of confidence in your own product?
What else is one to do with it if even the dealership wont buy it back? It would be interesting to see if and how many consumers, at the risk of being blacklisted, default on the credit agreement. Consequently financing institutions suffer.
