My vehicle has -35000km. On 26 July 2013 the vehicle had a breakdown. They informed me that the crank seal was leaking oil and that caused the failure of the timing belt and bend the valves.

The vehicle had its first service done on 15000km at Motordeal. The service book indicates that the first service should had been done on 12000km but I was advised to only bring it in on 15000km and that they would service it every 15000km. As there is no motorplan, I had the vehicle serviced twice by a non franchise workshop as I thought it better to wait for every 15000kms.

On 4 Sep I got it back, there was an oil leak again I took it back, it was the power steering motor, I took it back again because the temperature meter does not work, they informed me it is the Engine Computor Unit. Still at Motordeal..

I am of the opinion that all these faults should still be under gaurantee as the prescribed replacement of a timing belt is only done on -100 000km. They refusing to replace the timing belt, power steering motor, ECU? because the vehicle had been serviced by a non franchise workshop.

The invoice for the repair is R19 800 the ECU which I feel should be covered by the gaurantee
