Ford Amazing Ford - Royal Zambia mission.
As a International NPO missions organization, we have just returned from a mission to Zambia, with over 5 500km driving a Ford Bantam Leisure 1600, with 145 000km on the clock. What a little amazing vehicle. With over 500kg of equipment, bibles and gear we set of from SA through Botswana, on the ferry at Kazangula, traveled to Livingstone, Lusaka and Solwezi in the North Western province of Zambia. One section of 200km took us over 4 hours to complete. This gives one an idea of the roads. All the way back, this time through Zimbabwe, Harare and home. Awesome, not a single problem with the vehicle even loaded to capacity. We one had one flat tyre due to a pothole. This vehicle needs to have a mention, as I can only give it so much praise, in Africa where everyone including over landers travel with huge bulky 4x4, SUV's here we are with our Ford, light on fuel, and with power second to none. Ford, you have a winner, the Bantam Leisure. Keep it up as we will certainly with our Ford in Africa on mission.
