This morning (25 Jan 2013) I visited the Speedy branch on Mowbray, Cape Town to get some advice regarding a CV joint cover on my car.
I had called the branch to find out what I was in for regarding the issue and was already met at that time by a "sales person" who insisted on telling me that I knew nothing about what I was talking about.
Upon arriving at the branch a while later having eventually resolved the issue over the phone and got my own quotes for parts etc, we were met by the owner, as well as two mechanics OUTSIDE the shop who then proceeded to talk down on us (being young guys, this seems to happen often). This is all without mentioning the fact that they at this point had not even look at, or asked to look at the car to see what the problem was.
The owner of the shop then decided he had enough of the conversation and walked away, got into a car, and shouted out the window of the car to his mechanics to "stop wasting there time".
Following all this, I called up a different company and was met by someone on the phone who managed to help me within minutes with fixing the problem.
A shocking experince for a company which quoted me almost double what I ended up paying!!!
