In July 2013 I got a quote to move my moms furniture from edenvale to edenglen. VIP movers was one of the companies who quoted. They were not the cheapest so I decided to go with them HUGE MISTAKE. My mom paid a deposit of R500 and at the end of July she paid the balance of R1000.00. The move was for the 31st August 2013. I emailed Michal during the week before the move and she said everything was on track. She then phoned my mom on the Friday and said they would be there on the Saturday at 7am. At 6.55am on the Saturday she phoned to say the truck had broken down and they would be there by 9am. To cut a long story short, 17 phone calls from my mom and I and none from Michal later the 'truck' arrived at 1.30pm. The truck was bantam bakkie with an un roadworthy trailer.By this time we had no back up plan and needed to move my moms furniture. The list that she had given the moving contractor was wrong and because there were no blankets to cover fragile items we ended up loading our cars with the leather seats from the couch and fragile boxes of ornaments. Shocking service and attitude, I do not recommend these movers at all false advertising of service, my opinion
