My Merc 500 CLS is in a mess. Pressing the automatic start button on the gear handle, the whole gear shift fell apart, basically broke apart. Because of this the battery keeps running down as there is faulty contact between the start button and electronics. Mercedes South Africa refuses to fix the problem as the car is out of it's 6 year warranty. This Merc has only 49 000km on the clock and we are only driving it on special occasions as it is a luxury car and not an everyday car. The stars on the wheels keep falling off while we are driving and we have to keep buying new ones. I had it serviced in the beginning of the year and paid over R12 000 for this, but had to keep taking it back as the electronics then started acting up. I am now kind off certain something happened during that service because the trouble started from then. According to the non responsive companies, this is one of them and it only tells you that they do not care about their customers or the level of service they give. Please help, they are ripping people off. On top I have to buy a new battery for over R4000 from them after they fixed the gear shift. but my battery is only 18 months old! I am so mad at them.
