My belongings were stored with Express Removals, all in excellent condition except two items with which I knew had damage to them. On the 20th of each month, without fail, my payment was made to EXPRESS.REMOVALS.On my return from the States, I contacted them for a quote to move my belongings from their premises to Stellenbosch. I received a quote R5000-00 odd.
I declined and found another removal company cheaper, On my move, The 3rd party arrived at EXPRESS, they called me up and said there are items that are damaged. They also took pictures of my damaged belongings. I called them up and they asked me to send them pictures of my damages, which I duly did. I waited weeks and kept calling them only response was they were still busy. Eventually they sent a letter to say they wont pay out as I have no insurance, I called them up and Tania shifted the blame onto 3rd party. I went all the way to Tableview to speak with Owner, he didnt meet with me and I was refused his name or number. I received an email from him saying his workers will be dealt with. I was never advised to take insurance and stored my stuff in good faith. Why should I take the loss for their negligent staff. I am so upset.
