On 30 January I moved house and made use of Express Removals.
When packing the truck, some of my items were THROWN into the truck and broken.
2 bedside lamps were demolished and the frame of a large lounge lamp was also destroyed. The pictures that were taken as evidence tell the whole story.
Two expensive items also went missing in the move: a digital camera and external hard drive.
Moving houses with a bakkie would be far better than using Express Removals. They may seem friendly, accommodating and reasonably priced but the cost at the end of the move says otherwise.
A move that was meant to have cost R2, 000 ended up costing well over R8, 000.
Even when I sent them the pictures of the damage, they told me that they were not prepared to cover the damage as it would cost them an "excess" on their insurance.
WOULD YOU WANT A COMPANY LIKE THIS TO HANDLE YOUR PERSONAL AND EXPENSIVE POSSESSIONS?
USE AN HONEST, REPUTABLE COMPANY AND KEEP AWAY FROM THIS BUNCH!
