A year ago I purchased a Mitshubishi Colt I took out a Traficc insurance - Drive plan at union motors Nelspruit. The Cars Fuel consumption dropped and we had to replace injector pump and injectors - this was done at RMI dealer. We also took the car for a Dyno (at RMI DEaler) to ensure the Pump is working at optimum. The car started using water. I recently took my Colt in for a 90000km service and told them its using more and more water. The service department at Steves Autoclinic reported that my Cylinder head had a crack in that was caused by overfueling and my injector number 2 was to blame. The estimate of R23000.00 was given to fix this.
Supercover warranty claims dep was useless.
Our insurance policy covers engine damage up to R25000- but the sub category temperature control only cover R8000.00. SO the insurance company was only willing to pay R8000.00. They will not pay any damage caused by the cylinder as this is not covered!! The attitude was either take the R8000.00 or leave in non negotiable!! They had no hesitation in taking my R7000.00 for the insurance but all loop holes to not pay anything!! Its been a week now and I still don't have a car.
