In January2012 after a spell of bad service from the AA, and my decision to subsequently cancel my membership - they offered me a year of free membership.
When the 'free' membership terminated, I immediately informed them that I did not want to maintain my membership (paid or unpaid) because I was in any event moving to the UK. For some reason the AA ignored my instruction completely and reinstated my debit order.
I have now been charged R139 per month since January - a total of R834 without authorisation. I live in the UK and have no use whatsoever for an AA membership in South Africa.
No one at the AA has responded to my desperate emails or posts on Facebook (despite them promising to do so).
