I'm used to fantastic service at Barlow World Toyota Centurion. The lock on the driver's side door of my mom's Accent (2007 model) with around 50 000 km's on, suddenly started giving problems. Impossible to get out from inside the vehicle. The receptionist first leaves her hanging on forever (on her cell) and she has to phone back. The woman cannot talk clearly and does not understand what my mom wants. On taking the vehicle for them to have a look, they have all her detail wrong - including the problem. The mechanic gets in the car without putting some protection on the seat from his dirty work clothes. They promise to phone her with an estimate of the work to be done - they did not. When she phones they say the car is finished - it's a R170. Upon arrival to pick up the vehicle, the persons says "he read the job card incorrectly" - the part must be ordered. She must order the part herself and the price increases per person she speaks to - R1100 to R1495 (where one guy said "it's a shocker"). They cannot give her an estimate of the job cost. She had to find the vehicle herself in a sea of others. Other people were also complaining as she was leaving...
