I am the owner of Spot On Tuning, a small vehicle repair workshop. We sent in an Audi Head to Viva Engineering to repair damaged valves. All 20 valves and valve guides were supplied and fitted according to Viva. After installing the head, the vehicle started and idled perfectly. The vehicle was test-driven and all was fine. After idling afterwards in our workshop, the vehicle stalled. Upon further investigation it was found that one of the valves was broken and damaged the head and one piston. Viva said they could not repair the head and accept absolutely no responsibility. Now Spot On Tuning has to fork out R8, 000 plus, to get another head. It was shocking that Viva wanted to accept no responsibility. The matter will now be taken up with the RMI. Mike Krug.
