Autobahn BMW
Failure to Identify the Mechanical Problem (BMW)

I took my car (BMW 118i) to Autobahn BMW Isando in August 2012 to diagnose the problem of constant water needs and was told that the radiator was leaking and they replaced it at my cost of R21 000.In Dec 2012 the water bottle bursted and they said the pipe was leaking and i paid R500.00, In Jan 2013 the problem continued and they said another pipe at the bottom of the engine was worn out but this time i wont pay. In Feb 2013 the water problem persisted and was told that the head cyclinder top was damaged and needs to fixed at at cost of R21 000 and I refused, after the fight i was told that we will share the cost at 50%.After the head cylinder gasket was fixed, the car came back with leaking oil on top and the nuts were not tightened and the tappet was not replaced and now it has an engine problem and they claim its a new problem and I must pay R2800.00 to diagnose excluding the labour and parts. They have replaced VVT Motor in August 2012 but the same problem is still going on. The service at Autobahn BMW is pathetic after failing to fix their own brand and claims to have qualified mechanics. Do not use the service of Autobahn Isando otherwise your car will spent most of its life there
