My Subaru has been out of warranty for about two years and has almost 100, 000km's on the clock.
So I was very surprised when I got a letter in the mail asking that I bring my car in for a recall.
It was related to the rear suspension, so I guess a safety issue, but still, in my mind, not something I expected any supplier to do, as from what I understood, it was more preventative in nature.
They had also on a previous occasion replaced some parts on the rear seats to reduce the sound they would make when rattling. This too was classed as a recall.
So needless to say I was pleasantly surprised.
