My husband and I bought a second hand Hyundai Trajet from PMB Auto Sales in Boom Street, PMB. The second day after collection, the car battled to start. On the third day the car's battery was completely dead! We relayed this back to the sales consultant and his response was to bring the car back to Pietermaritzburg. We live in Hillcrest so didn't want to take the trip. Instead we advised that we would buy a battery ourselves. We paid R1100 for a new battery and asked to be refunded by PMB Auto Sales. They said they would ONLY refund us R750 for the battery as they could get batteries at cost. We then asked if the car had been serviced and their manager's reply (very shirty) was 'you didn't buy (an over inflated) warranty' for the car therefore, tough luck! We then had the car looked at by an independent mechanic who confirmed that the car had a diesel leak; had not been serviced for almost 40, 000km's and that it was in desperate need of a full service including cam belt change! We have relayed this back to PMB Auto Sales and their reply is unless we have their crew look at the vehicle, at our expense and time, they are not interested! Disgusted!!! Terrible attitude!
